Cowboys versus Seahawks

Postby feilong801 » January 7th, 2007, 1:54 am

From the Boise State conversation the other day, I figured there might be some football fans in this forum,

Anyone see the 'Boys go down to the Seahawks today? Absolutely whacky turn of events when Holmgren goes for it on 4th down, fails, yet looks like a genuis when his defense then gets a safety and Hasslebeck throws a TD pass in the next possession, essentially getting 9 points instead of 3.

The Romo FUMBLES THE @#$#%!@#$# snap, losing the game! I have always disliked the so called "America's Team," so this was high comedy...

I've actually never watched a football game from beginning to end, in my 25 years as an American male....   Considering that I'm from the Seattle area, maybe I'll watch the next Seahawks game or two... so they have to win one more game, and then are in the Superbowl?

Awesome game--my father and I were watching it while we worked on one of our cars. Romo went from hero to zero.

I'm suprised T.O. (Terrell Owens) kept his mouth about not getting the ball in the postgame interviews. Of course he dropped a couple more yesterday.

T.O., what a disaster. He is a cancer on every team he plays on now. He'll probably demand a bigger contract next year.

Wur, the Seahawks just advanced from the Wildcard round. It works like this:

Wildcard

Divisional

Conference Championship

Superbowl

So one down, two to go before the Superbowl for them (I think they have a decent shot, as they have solid veterans and good coaching).

As I was born in Texas and grew up in Oklahoma, God pretty much hates me this year.

My Cowboys choked at the end with one heck of a goofy play by Terry Glen creating the safety.  Only to have that play followed up by Romo blowing the snap at the end.  I don't think my heart can handle any more football this year.  Now, back to the Jetts/Patriots game.

Poor Romo....The media will hang that albatroos around his neck for the rest of his career. That was an exciting game, though.

I used to hate Madden's commentary, but either he has gotten a lot better or I just appreciate him more because I've been exposed to the 3rd rate guys that cover the 3rd rate Vikes. I would take him and Michaels over the Monday night crew anyday. They work well togewther.

Yeah, I've had the same hate turning to love relationship with Micheals/Madden, but for me it was listening to the BORING radio announcer that replaces them on the 360 version of Madden. A Madden game without Madden calling the game? Wah?

It actually felt really nice when I discovered that Madden and Micheals' commentary was kept in the Wii version.

Some of my favorite snippets from the game:

"IT'S A FAKE!!!!!" (Al)

"That's not what you do on 4th down." (John)
