Lost Planet for the 360

I rented Lost Planet. I really got stuck on the single player, which I got frustrated at and decided to play the multiplayer. But I didn't want to after really.

Lost Planet for the 360

[QUOTE=The Video Game Critic]I picked up Lost Planet recently, and my friends were really pissed it didn't have a splitscreen mode - the only multiplayer is on-line.  That stinks.

And before anybody rags on split-screen, let me assure you that playing it on a 50" plasma is quite a blast.

Yeah, I agree with you Critic. No split screen = laziness. I do quite a bit of online co-op now that my best gamer friend lives 40 minutes away, but you can't beat the trash talking and comraderie of split-screen action.

My friend has it. The graphics look amazing but it's not my type of game. It reminds me to much of Gunvalkire for the Xbox. There is so much variety now that I have to pick the games I get very carefully. Right now my next purchase is going to be Crackdown then I'm probably going to wait another 2 months to get another game.

Lost Planet for the 360

I've been playing through the campaign mode of Lost Planet and it's not bad at all.  I see the other critics are trashing it, but what did they expect?  The big guns, huge monsters, and over-the-top explosions are more than enough to satisfy me.  Of course, the main reason I purchased it was its snowy environments, and it really comes through in that regard!  The scenery is beautful, although you'll sometimes need to work your way through some less-interesting caves and tunnels.  Stay tuned for the full review.

[QUOTE=Linkdude]This game seems cool. I heard about it a lot, and also downloaded the demo on my 360 a while back. This game looks sick as well.

I played a demo of it off of an OXBM disc, and came away with the impression of "boy am I glad I played the demo, I was gonna buy this game, but geez, does it suck".

What am I missing here?
