Try Reign of Fire on the Gamecube, it is uncontrollable. Anything that needs dual sticks is rubbish because the C-stick is just awful.
Can Sony do anything right anymore?

Can Sony do anything right anymore?
Yeah, I've used them all plenty, and I still do best with the Gamecube controller. Having the buttons shaped and arranged the way they do makes it alot easier to play without EVER looking down. Personally, going between the Xbox and DualShock makes me forget which button is which alot of the time, especially with the total random nature of the Dual Shock's shape buttons.
I have no problem with shape buttons; I memorize game by game pretty fast either way. The main problem I have is the lack of a B button. Only because B means back on menus. Usually, triangle was back for PSX and PS2 games, but some games used circle and some used square. That always confused me.
I'm having that problem to some extent with Wii, too. Hopefully, developers will decide a universal accept and go back button for the Wii remote. Sometimes B is accept, and that is really throwing me off. A is for accept B is for Back. Monkey Ball Banana Blitz was the worst offender; it took me forever to get through those menus. They couldn't even decide which button was back within their own game!

That's your opinion guys but the 360 and the PS2 controller just felst "solid". The GC controller felt flimsy and cheap. You need to look down at the buttons? C'mon, after using any controller for more then five minutes it all becomes second nature. The "shapes" of the GC was nothing more then a gimmick...it didn't add anything. I forgot about the "Z" button....worthless.

Its not really all that bad...I play TimeSplitters 2 on the cube and the dual sticks work fine. It just takes time to adjust, thats all.
Out of all three current gen consoles I preferred the Gamecube the least...
I understand the problems that occur when switching between the xbox and PS2 controllers. The both have an X button but its in different places on each controller...that always screws me up. The black and white buttons on the xbox almost suck as bad as the Z button on the cube. Thats why I like the PS2 design. It fits comfortably in my hands and the shoulder buttons were perfect. I never found a problem with the analog sticks and overall its a controller I wish I could hook up to every system.

Hmmm, I would have to say the five best controllers are:
1). snes(very comfortable)
2). Sega Saturn controller(comfortable, taking what I loved about the genesis controllers and cutting the fat).
3). Sony Dual Shock(Sony may have essentially ripped off the snes design and added a few features but damn if it isn't comfortable).
4). Nes(this may belong higher up....very classic).
5). 360(MS finally fixed what completely sucked about their old controllers)
I agree that the GC controller did feel like a cheap Mattell toy. Whereas Sony, to me, made a cheap console, Nintendo makes cheap controllers. I went through so damn many GC controllers....the main problem being a stuck c stick!! Grrrr!

I like the controller topic, here's my ratings.
1) Saturn 3d controller
2) Genesis 6 button controller
3) NES dogbone controller-much better than the original rectangle
4) Wii controller-I really like this so far, but I need more time with it for it to move up the ranks
5) Almost anything else; I can't come up with a clear winner from the rest. Dreamcast has a good button layout, but I don't like its triggers and the joystick hurts my thumb. PS2 has too many shoulder buttons, but it has a great d-pad and good, if poorly placed, joysticks. The Gamecube Wavebird is great, but still has flaws. I like the triggers and the joystick, but the c-stick has no groove and the Z button is awful.
Xbox Small is good, and has triggers that are as good or greater than the Wavebird's, but I absolutely hate the black and white buttons. Virtual Boy was nice and symmetrical, but can it be in the running if it only works with about 20 games? SNES is decent, but I don't like its shoulder buttons either. I have a feeling if I tried the 360 controller it would be a clear 5th place. It looks like it corrects the main problem with the Xbox controller.
6) N64 controller-My hand won't fit in this very comfortably anymore. It's a decent controller when you're a kid, but not so great as an adult.
