My wife got at least $1000 worth of video game stuff at a church barn sale for $20. No idea whose collection it was. Nowadays I suppose it'd be worth more like $3-4k. Saturn RPGs CIB, Mega Man Legends 2 CIB, Tron Bonne (disc only), Mario Party 2 and 3...the list goes on.

As far as Goodwill specifically, it’s been a long time since I’ve found great stuff there. I think their best stuff goes on ebay and Amazon these days.
But like 10-15 years ago, I started my Turbografx collection at Goodwill. I walked in one morning and saw a whole collection just sitting in the case. The system was like $20 or $30, and I remember the games were $2 to $4 each. I was pretty broke at the time, so I left some of the games behind, which I kick myself for these days. But it was definitely a good haul either way.

Not Goodwill, but I snagged a pallet-load of TI-99/4A computers, software, voice modules, and expansion boxes for around $30 at a barn sale back in 2003. By the time I sold off/traded everything, I ended up around $2800 and one Battlezone arcade machine richer. Those expansion boxes snagged $200-$300 alone, and I had 4 of them.

Not Goodwill, but hit up a local antique shop with my nephew. Picked up a few oddball titles
Drift King (Japanese Saturn) $4.99 - I hear this is pretty good!
The Fast and Furious (PS2) 6.99
3 mostly-complete Game Gear titles ranging from 4.99-9.99: Aerial Assault, G-Loc, and Tengen World Cup Soccer.

No where near as a big find, but I picked up GTA: Vice city stories for £1.00.

Haven't ever found much at Goodwill, but it feels really good to know that the things I've donated to charity over the years likely found a good home.

Re: What was your best goodwill video game find?
Well I was with my wife at a Goodwill Outlet (a place where they bring out bins of random stuff, people stand behind line, signal, and then everyone rushes over to claim the best stuff). I saw one guy pull a box, inside was an Atari Jaguar and what seemed like 20 or 30 games. If the Jaguar works he will make a small fortune, definitely over $1000 in that find. I let him know that this was valuable and he should put it on eBay versus selling at Flea Market.
I never really rated the Atari Jaguar as a console and I struggle to think of one good game on it. Nonetheless there is some love and collectability for it.
My personal best find was a C64 and a bunch of tape games. Caveat? Could not get the darn thing to work and ended up throwing in the dumpster.
My overall best find outside of Video Games: Tied between A Questar Maksutov Cassegrain Scope with 7" Tube and Zeiss Eyepieces and a Hermes Collection of Scarves. I kept the former and sold the latter for $5000.

I got Parappa the Rapper for $2 at a Salvation Army locally. It was going for $60 on ebay at the time.
