I think when you get a Wii Dave, you're not going to by any chance go online with IT are you? Especially for the WiiConnect24 service?

I never have a problem connecting my PSP. When I had the DS that was simple as well. That sounds like a major hassle. Maybe your set up is too far from you router. If your wireless router is several floors up that may cause problems that aren't necessarily anything to do with the PS3. Of course, it is still a major pain in the ass. Sounds like you are enjoying Resistance.

My router is two floors up, but my laptop and DS report a "strong" signal from down there.  It was only my PS3 that said it was weak (23% !!)

Well then that is totally lame. Lucky for me the router is right in the next room from my PS3. Or better yet, where my PS3 will be. I did get a chance to play Full Auto 2, I think you would really like it but who knows.

I wouldn't suggest having WiiConnect24 turned on. It creates a lot of heat when the system is in standby mode with the fans turned off, for little benefit. And many speculate that this heat that builds up is what is causing some Wii GPU's to get damaged.

Although I never miss an opportunity to jab Sony, I have to admit, my PS3 worked flawlessly from the moment I turned it on (automatically adjusted my screen to 720P for R:FoM), and it connected to my wireless network in about 30 seconds flat. Then, I did the same with my PSP--easy as pie.

And, wireless stuff is supposed to work much better if the router is higher than the devices that are connection to it.
