Any takes on the NFC/AFC Championship game?

[QUOTE=The Video Game Critic]I'm from Baltimore, so I've pretty much lost my will to live.
But don't worry about me, I'll get over the Ravens loss in a few years.  If I'm lucky.

At least your team made it to the playoffs this year. The Broncos loss to the 49ers was even more disappointing given that they made it to the AFC championship last year.

No problem a.

I forgot that you are a Baltimore citizen, Dave. Yeah, that's a tough, tough loss. Personally, this year's playoffs seem to feature a number of clearly superior teams losing to inferior ones.... and I definitely feel that the Ravens were the better team. The Colts didn't look good at all. Billick has never been able to find a good quarterback to go with that steller defense. I respect McNair's toughness, but he is no Tom Brady.

I want daaaaaa Bears to win. It is sort of like the 1985-86 season although I never seen it. Chicago should win the NFC. I don't live in Illinois so no point in watching the Bears. As for the AFC, Colts. I am tired of the Patriots beating Indianapolis. I want the Colts and Bears in the Super Bowl but the Bears should win it. Daaaaaaa Bears, Daaaaaaaa Bears, Daaaaaaaaaa Bears.

Here are my picks for this round of the playoffs

Pats over the Colts

Bears over the Saints

Its not what I want to see, but that how I feel it will turn out.

I live in Rhode Island and pretty much watch the Patriots on a weekly basis and these are the games that they never lose.  Pretty much everybody is picking the Colts to win this game, and when everyone goes against the Pats...sure enough they win.

I pretty much hate the Patriots (Jets fan all the way), but I respect them enough to know when they have the upper hand.  People think the Manning will finally be able to get over that hump because of how the Colts are playing in the playoffs...All I have to say is that Patriots never lose to the same team twice in one season...never.  It hasn't happened in quite some time and I sure as hell don't expect the Colts to be the first team to do it in years.

Though in a perfect world the game would come down to the finally seconds with Viniteri kicking the game winning field goal.  That would bring tears of joy to my eyes.

And I am apparently 100% wrong. I guess I sort of put what I wished it would be, but I also didn't think Peyton Manning could overcome his playoff problem. I hope the Bears win.

The Colts and Patriots just played an instant classic today. Great game, and a worthy "handing of the torch."

I hope the Colts win it. Don't get me wrong, Peyton is a tool (I get sick of all those many commercials), but I've always liked Tony Dungy, going back to his days as the Tampa Bay coach. The knock on him for years was "too nice to win the big one," and of course the tragedy with his son dying last year.

Well, I can happily report that I am glad to be proven wrong for once.  Man was it satisfying to see the Pats fall flat on their faces.

I love watching Peyton Manning play and I couldn't help but feel happy for him and his team as a whole.  Its like seeing the smart geek finally overcoming the handsome jock and stealing his girl.

The Patriots were supposed to win...the situation was vintage Brady/Belichick.  Yet Brady pulled a Manning and through the interception during the last drive.  You just get so used to seeing the Pats pull it out of their ass that when they finally lost it was sort of magical.  I was shocked and elated with joy at the same time.

You can tell that both teams have great respect for one another, but I'm glad to see pretty boy Brady pout like a sore loser for once.  His stupid ice-pick sideburns and calm cool attitude pretty much make me sick.

Here's hoping that the SuperBowl is just as enjoyable as that AFC Championship game.

I predict it will be the Indianapolis vs the Chicago football team
