Game Journalism Awards

Postby VideoGameCritic » February 27th, 2020, 8:27 pm

So I got a tweet from the Game Journalism Awards suggested I submit a review for consideration.

I checked it out and it's looks pretty easy to sign up:
https://www.reddit.com/r/games_journali ... sm_awards/
https://www.gamejournalismawards.com/submit/

I was going to submit my Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order because it's a good review and most people have heard of the game. Then I noticed the criteria says the review had to have been published in 2019. I guess I could look through the hundreds of reviews I posted last year, but maybe you guys could help me narrow it down by recommending a few?

I'm thinking my Hollow Knight review might fit the bill??

That was the first one that popped in my head. The trouble was remembering which reviews you published in 2019. Is there any easy way to list them all for us? If not, I think Hollow Knight is a solid choice.

I'll see what I can do, but I've been going through the "review feedback" threads.

Ah good point, that’s probably the easiest way for us.

Seems to me my Luigi's Mansion 3 review might also be a good candidate.

That one was good too. Close call between those two, but I would go with Hollow Knight. As an A+ review, it has a lot more fancy adjectives and has more emotion behind it. On the other end of the spectrum is your Soul Calibur VI review on PS4. You rip into the game pretty strongly, checking all the boxes of complaints about modern games, and it's pretty entertaining. I think positive reviews usually work better for this, but that would be an alternate option too.
