Interesting Craving...

So this may not be totally related to video games.... so bear with me (but I guess it is).

My wife is now pregnant, and with this new little adventure I've often wondered what, as the always patient husband, I'm going to have to deal with.

We are five weeks in now, so I was fully expecting the infamous weird "cravings".... you know, the runs to the convienance store at an odd hour for ice cream and the like.

However, my wife has developed a really odd craving. She demands to watch me play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and every night this week she says, "Are you going to play Oblivion?" It's really weird how she has suddenly taken an interest in the game during her pregnancy, and yesterday she did something incredible... she tried playing the game herself.

She has sworn up and down "I'll never play those 3D games, I'm old school only," but she made it through the tutorial sequence. My wife playing a "hardcore" game is sorta akin to Shawn becoming a Nintendo fanboy. Bizarre.

Could all be a coincidence, but hey, I'll take it either way!

Given this strange development, it might be a boy.  Just a guess!

I wanted a boy the whole pregnancy, but as soon as I saw my daughter, I wouldn't trade her for 1000 boys. If you have a girl you will agree. That is a very special bond.

Wow, that is amazing - a grown woman actually playing a video game!
On her own free will no less!
If that even happens in my house, I'll be sure to take a picture.

My friend, steel yourself for a lot less videogame playing of any type! If you are like me, the baby will force you to prioritize, and when you hit 2 (like I just did), unfortunately you can pretty much write it off for a few years....
