I guess in that regard, Tony Hawk could be considered. Shred has snowboarding I believe.

The Brock Lesnar and Shaun White ones were great, thinking outside the box. Mine is like that, with NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson. He was on the cover of NASCAR 06 with Jeff Gordon, but also had his own game called "anything with an engine" for Wii, PS3, and 360. It was a kart racer.

Interesting topic and some great suggestions!

I’ve got one from the sports star gets their own action game category. David Beckham Soccer for PS1 and the obscure Go! Go! Beckham! Adventure on Soccer Island for Game Boy Advance which is a Yoshi’s Island-esque looking platformer. Although unlike Jordan and Shaq, Beckham got an overly cutesy cartoon makeover.
