Critic, I noticed a while back that you reviewed the 'last gen' systems--Cube, PS2, Xbox. I assumed you always waited until they 'died' to complete your review (in terms of history, success, etc.). Of course, these systems aren't quite gone, so I'm wondering when we'll see reviews of Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS, and PSP.
For whatever reason, I enjoy the console reviews more than anything else on this site.

Ditto on that. They are really fun reads. I especially dig the personal anecdotes on some of the descriptions.

I can agree with this. The Xbox is over and PS2 and Gamecube are still going. It would be just after a couple more years right? I can put this in some way. The Atari 2600 and Intellivision competed during the 8-bit and 16-bit era. The NES and SMS competed into the 16-bit era. The Genesis and SNES competed into the 32-bit and 64-bit era. PS1 and N64 went into the 128-bit era. These systems would last a couple more years into the next generation.

Actually the gamecube is about done right now... we might see one or two original projects for it in the next year but don't hold your breath. Aside from a sports title or spongebob game I wouldn't expect much from gamecube.
I find this strategy a little silly since the Wii is backwad compatible... you'd think they'd try and give those cube owners a few more months of satisfaction.

They weren't completely dead, but were dying fast. Even with half a dozen good PS2 games coming out this year, it would barely change anyone's opinion of the system, if at all.
