Just bought a Wii

Happened to be at Target at the right time last Saturday, and was able to get a Wii. My wife and I were there to pick up a couple things, and I walked through the electronics department because I always do. I was surprised to see eight Wii systems, so I asked the worker to pull one out for me, then a guy next to me said the same thing, then a lady said "me too." A few minutes later they were all gone.
So now I finally have the trifecta--360, PS3, and Wii. Can't wait to play Zelda. Game Informer magazine makes it sound like God's gift to humanity.

Congratulations! And you didn't have to wait in line early in the morning, so count yourself as lucky.
Yep, Zelda's bomb. Tremendous game and easily in the top five of the year for me.

Just make sure you are patient through the beginning. Once you get past the training and the initial story set-ups, the game picks up at an amazing pace and will not let you go. And once you've used the Wii remote to aim your crosshairs to shoot an arrow or Clawshot, you will never want to go back.

I still can't believe how fast these things sell although it is slowing down. Nintendo is getting huge mileage out of Zelda and party games! I must admit, after getting through the first hour of Zelda (which I hated) the game is rather good although I only play it in spurts (my buddy has the Wii). Although I wouldn't include it in my top 20 of 2006 (guys, it is really more of the same) it is a great game. As far as best RPG/Adventure game goes....Oblivion wins hands down.

Exactly what I was thinking early in the game. Give it time. It may be more of the same in some respects, but that should only be counted against it if "the same" were anything but an amazing gameplay experience. Plus the expand on it so much later on, and the story really opens up later. Give it time. You are probably still in the introductory part of the game, relatively speaking.
