I never get queezy playing games, but Zelda on the Wii makes my eyes go crazy because the background graphics are so blurry when I move around. Really hard to focus (and it's not my TV).
What! You gotta be kidding me. How does someone wind up getting sick from cameras and speed from a game? Well, it's Sonic and that was the reason Sega came up with him- lightning fast gameplay but no cameras. Have you played any games that involved a moving camera? I mean, other games could not have made you sick.
Are you kidding? I know like a half dozen people that get sick from various types of games. I normally don't have a problem, but there was one FPS on the GC that would always seem to get me for some reason. Don't remember what it was.
The game features a hedgehog trying to get it on with a hot young chick. Is it any wonder you're feeling ill?? The camera is the least of your worries!

A hedgehog tried to grab my wife's butt the other day. I decked him.

Sonic 1-3 on the Genesis never struck me as amazingly fast, just faster than other platformers.

They can do great 3D Sonic games, Sonic Adventure is a perfect example of this.

No it isn't. I'm sorry but I just bought the Gamecube port to play through again, and without the original awe that I had with seeing it and the speed when I played it 5 years ago it's really not that great. It isn't an awful game, but the poor camera, and overworld really bring it down. Plus, I thought Amy and Big were terrible characters. I know it's not the port either because I remember the problems in the original; they just weren't fixed for the port.
Well, the Gamecube port of Sonic Adventure is pretty bad, so at leats give it the benefit of doubt.
I loved Sonic Adventure. It was almost like Sega's (late) answer to Mario 64, but with improvements made in almost every area.
-There are more 'overworld' places to roam around in, all a decent size with some platforming or puzzle elements. In addition, the overworld places had life. It always struck me as odd that the Princess was completely secluded.
-There was a plot to it. Not amazing or necessary, but it was nice to see there. What I really liked about it, though, is the storytelling. You only see the story from that character's perspective, forcing you to play as another to see what happened to them. This answers most if not all questions. Normally this would be a bit of a bore, but...
-Each character offered their own gameplay style! While admittely, most of them aren't fan favourites, I reallyy enjoyed this paticular aspect. You have standard point-a-to-point-b, emeral searches, a shooter, a race, an escape and... uh, fishing. Fishing felt out of place and wasn't nearly as good as Sega Bass Fishing, but I still enjoyed it for the most part.
-There was more replay value. In addition to A ranking every stage, there's 130 emblems to collect.
-There were some really great moments, like the orca whale chase.
That being said, Sonic Adventure wasn't perfect. Far from it. It was bogged down by a bad camera, slightly sloppy physics and a handful of glitches. But I still enjoyed it a lot.
Now Sonic Adventure 2 on the other hand might be a perfect example of a great 3d Sonic game. It features the three best characters in the first game-Sonic, E102 (in the form of Tails and Robotnik), and Knuckles- without any of the overworld. It's been a while since I've played it, but I recall it being a great improvement over the original. I plan on picking it up soon.

I didn't hate Sonic Adventure 2, but I definitely found it to be a large step backwards because it removed most of the things Sonic Adventure brought.
Also, Tails in the mech is not cool.

Absolutely. It was greatly improved ovr the original, and is an excellent game, one of the best 3D platformers out there.

Why do people keep saying the Gamecube port is bad? The only thing bad about it is it doesn't get rid of the problem with the cameras or the bugs; it doesn't add any problems. Plus, it adds a bunch of Game Gear titles. The overworld consists solely of bring key from here to here, and the cutscenes are awful. I know the Gamecube port didn't add those.
