Dave Zydoko (Dave Z) who used to run the site moved on to the West Coast and last I heard he was working for the company formerly known as Visual Concepts on their "NFL 2K" games. This was years ago though, no idea what Dave Z. is up to these days.

I just put the new summer banner into rotation. It's a good one, and it has a 4th of July vibe.
I also changed the code that randomizes the banners. Now 25% of the time you'll see the first summer banner, 25% of the time the second summer banner, and 50% of the time one of the other eight at random. I can easily tweak this if necessary, but I like to see the seasonal banners.

I recognize "Sonic" in summer banner #2 (duh!) but what are the other two from? Is the jet ski racer from the Gamecube version of "Waverace"? And are the fireworks from "Fantavision" for PS2?

Hey Mark,
I love the banner with surfing guy, the volleyball gals and outrun...it really feels like a summer time banner. Great job!
The other one needs to lose that Sonic screen. It looks too spring time if you ask me. Throw in a picture of Mario in that desert level with the Sun that attacks you from Super Mario Bros 3. Maybe even something from Mario Sunshine...I dunno. The Sonic screen shot just doesn't look right to me.
Keep up the great work though...I love the flavor your banners bring to the site.

Exactly what I thought. I've always felt like the first level in Sonic games we're more spring-themed than summer-themed. I think a Mario Sunshine screen shot would fit right in.
