Thanks for the recommendations. I think I'l pick up a title or two I normaly wouldn't try, just to "broaden" my horizons. If they don't work out they'll just go back on EBAY, and its less than the cost of renting a game, after EBAY takes their cut.

One final thought. Why would you make a portable game system that is pretty close to the SNES, port many, many SNES games over to it, and then design it with only two face buttons?

Golden Sun? Dear god, that has to be the most overrated game series I've ever played. Get Mario & Luigi, the Breath of Fire games (SNES ports, you may have the originals), Phantasy Star Collection (Master System/Genesis ports), some of the FF games (SNES/PSX ports, note that Dawn of Souls is a horrible remake that completely ruins the original games, and FF4 is extremely buggy), or anythign else, but Golden Sun, stay far away. Horrid games.

I find myself still playing these GBA games, even though I'm firmly entranced with everything DS and GBA is dead and forgotten to me.......

Final Fight One..........This is the best version of this game to own on any system period. It detrones the Sega CD version in my opinion.

Pinball Of The Dead..........second-best pinball game ever made. Devil's Crush for TG-16 is #1 of course. I  believe this is better then Metroid Prime Pinball, but I'm in the minority that opinion.

Dr Mario(nes classics series version). The Dr Mario on the Dr Mario/Puzzle League cart really sucks. It has gay new graphics and a too-cramped playing feild. The "NES Classics" edition is far more playable and better to look at.

What's so bad about Golden Sun?
A question about Mariokart Super Circuit : I assume it kind of replicates the origional Mariokart, and while that is truly a landmark game it makes me motionsick/headache and I  have no interest in playing it. Is Super Circuit "better" visualy, or should I skip it? I have MK for DS and I thought that the best designed courses in the Retro track section were the GBA ones, so I am kind of tempted to pick it up, unless the game engine is basicly the same as the SNES one.
Yes, the racing in MKSC is similar visually to the SNES version, but improved. More and larger sprites populate the sides of the track, and all sprites look better and of course scale smoothly in comparison to their SNES counterparts. The Mode-7 effect used for the ground/track is pretty much the same as on SNES. So overall it's like the 16-bit game, with a subtle, but noticable upgrade in graphics and overall presentation.

Dont forget the other Capcom staple, Street Fighter II. There are two excellent SFII ports for the GBA, though you might have to search e-bay to find them.

I played the first Golden Sun when it came out on the original GBA and liked it quite a bit.  I can only imagine how much better it would be on the DS.  Two thumbs up for me.
