There have been rumors going around for months about a new and improved 360. The color was supposed to be black, the harddrive was supposed to be bigger and there was gonna be an HDMI output. The cost was supposed to be anywhere from $500-$575.
Here is the latest from the rumor mill...

I don't know if there is any truth to this, but would you guys go out and repurchase a 360?

I would if the other features that have been rumored were there. The problem is that the price is like... $479. That's quite a bit more than their most expensive model right now. If it has the HD-DVD drive already in it, has built-in wireless, and doesn't heat up so hot so quickly, then that would be well worth it.

I can't see myself rebuying the 360. I'm at least a year away from owning any kind of 780/1080i television, so those features aren't important to me at this time.

Probably not. I would like to see them sell a new hard drive with more space individually.

No. I prefer the white model, have no use for HDMI and the whole point of having a removable hard drive is so that you can expand it easily. Besides you can currently get a 120GB hard drive for the system at the moment which can also be hooked up to a PC for backup.

Yea I doubt I would buy a new 360 even with all the new bells and whistles.
Ok, next questions. Of those you who don't have a 360, would you buy the more expensive black version, the medium ranged white version or the cheap ass low end version?
If the Black Xbox 360 comes in at $550 or $575 would you buy the 360 instead of the PS3?

I've been looking into the 360, but no, I wouldn't choose this new one over the earlier models. The other question is kind of pointless, since I don't really want either the new 360 or the PS3, so obviously I'd get an old 360 over them both.

I'd hope that if a new version came out it would become the high end version, while the old high end version would become the cheap alternative; the core system could be discontinued. I plan on getting a 20GB hard drive 360 when the inevitable $100.00 price drop comes around, and I'll do that whether there's a new version or not.

I want to buy a larger legit MS harddrive for memory saves, movies, and demos. 20 GB isn't near enough, especially when you start ripping CDs for your own in game soundtracks.
External USB hds don't work for memory saves or demos.
