What to buy with my Wii?

Are all of you people really this stupid? Remember, pants first, then shoes. I was just asking a question. "A", you are a moron, I paid $400 for my 360, and about $35 in batteries and a charger and that's it. It just sounds like to really enjoy the Wii you have to take advantage of the "offline" multiplayer and thus, spend about $200 in extra controllers. So therefore I am not going to buy one. This site is a joke. It is the ultimate haven for the plumbers fanboy. You can't even ask an honest question! Trolling equals anti-Nintendo on this site. I am not surprised, considering the Critic has turned into a huge Sony-hater himself.
Are all of you people really this stupid?
Look at yourself in the mirror every morning, and repeat: "I am the stupid one"... "I am the stupid one"... "I am the stupid one"... over and over again until you get it.
This site is a joke.
Add to that:  "I am the joke"... "I am the joke"... "I am the joke"... until you completely understand.

I love watching Sony fanbots get so defensive, and then simultaneously claim that it's the 360 or Wii crowd that is in fact being defensive.

Even though Shawn is kind of extreme here. He's right about most people here being pro Nintendo. I remember having plenty of arguments about how bad the game cube was. It's only now that I see people admiting that the gamecube was a joke. Don't get me wrong the price was good and the hardware was plenty powerful but they messed up with Zelda Windwaker"my opinion"  and Mario. I would have liked some better 3rd party support also. Don't worry Shawn you are not alone.

I certainly don't agree that the Gamecube was a joke.  It got as much playtime -- no, actually more from me personally -- than the other platforms.

Not being the biggest commercial success is not tantamount to being a "joke".

How can the Gamecube be considered a joke? It was successful. Third place? Yes. Terrible third party? Yes. Neglected by Nintendo from the get-go? Yes. But, I like it. I had a good time with it. I have some good games for it. I play it more than my broken Playstation 2 and Xbox.

I just don't get the arguements here. I pray to god I fail as miserably as the Gamecube in something someday.

And again, I'm totally feeling the Sony fanbots on the next generation. The PS3 will be pretty darn fun in a little while. I just don't dig Sony's games as much. Lair looks like the killer app, though.

For the record I am an Xbox fanbot. Nothing would make me happier if Sony went down.

Yeah right you were asking an innocent question Shawn. All you did was post veiled criticism of the Wii. Not everyone likes online multiplayer so to those people (around 80% at the current count) you need to buy extra controllers for any console. Are you telling me you never play games with people next to you? We were suggesting things that a person might want, just like a person might want to get extra controllers for a 360. You made it sound like they are all part of the cost of buying a Wii, and you don't need/want accessories for any other consoles.

Ummm, everything Shawn posts is a thinly veiled criticism of the Wii! What I think is funny is that Shawn has lately been slamming Critic for being "anti Sony" though he OWNS a ps3(I personally would not buy a system I hate for that price!), he gave the ps2 higher marks in his system reviews than he did for the xbox or gamecube, he gave the ps1 higher marks than he did for the N64. What is your problem, Shawn? This is what I'm talking about! You come into every post you can find that has Nintendo in the title, ridicule us for what we like and then move onto another thread. You call people names, you use the worst excuse for sarcasm in darn near all your posts and so on. You're annoying, Shawn, you're like this guy I work with. He brings his beliefs to work with him every day(radical christian). He constantly badmouths my music because it doesn't follow his beliefs, he tears into the fact that I smoke because he doesn't believe it is right, he rips into the fact that I throw the occasional cuss word around. Finally, I got fed up with it and told him, straight out, to either man-up or I would simply have him written up for harassment. I know that sounds juvenile, but I'm getting paid to work, not to listen to the unnecessary squabbles that have no business in the workplace. I'm sorry, Shawn, but I don't take a few minutes out of my day to frequent this board only to be openly insulted for having different tastes! It's starting to get to the point where it's almost a waste of time having an opinion, considering how quickly some are to judge and criticize.

Banjo maybe you do need God? Anyway this is a forum. Shawn is not with you at work harassing you. He's writing on a message board. If you don't like his opinions ignore them. I find his opinions refreshing. Maybe everybody else doesn't but I do.

Well, as stated in another thread, while I find some of what Shawn does to be pretty rude and silly, it is really up to the moderators and Dave.

Superjay is probably right, though. It is just a messageboard... but I can still *wish* people could behave reasonably. Actually, some of the Wii vs. Sony stuff, at least early on, was sort of entertaining. But it's become a one note riff for quite some time.
