Is Nintendo holding back?
I dunno....does it have something to do with these more advanced systems taking longer to manufacture?.......OR Ninendo needing $ from systems they sold to make more??

Why does everyone try to portray Nintendo verging on bankrupcy? Nintendo has a huge amount of money in the bank, and a huge supply of other capital. The figure I read *before* the DS Lite took off in Japan in early 2006 was around $8 billion.
If they are holding back at all, it might have been a decision made last year, before they knew definitively that the item was going to be selling like hotcakes.
Argh! I was looking forward to you getting one, man. That completely stinks.

[QUOTE=The Video Game Critic] I walked over and found out that 18 vouchers were handed out - one for each Wii system. Of course I was way too late. I saw an old friend who got one, but he had been waiting there since 700!

They're still handing out vouchers! I haven't seen any Wiis but I assumed people had just gotten to them quicklyl; I didn't realize people were still waking up at 5 in the morning to wait in line. I thought the Wii would be successful, but I am completely blown away by how well it is doing.
Say it is just one persons experiences or not, but I still haven't seen a Wii in stores (since mine) and I have seen at least 6 PS3s. I'm not saying the PS3 is necessarily doing poorly, but the Wii is kicking its butt so far.
