If I read on more person write that exact line I'm sure my head will explode. It isn't trendy to put down the PS3, it is sensible. We didn't all wake up one day and decide it would be the new hip thing to bash the system. People put it down because it deserves to be put down. It costs a lot more money to do the exact same thing as a 360. You say people take jabs at it for new reason, I say anyone who praises it up is doing so with absolutely no good reason. It is, so far, completely undeserving of praise.

How is it sensible? Its irrational and childish, is what it is. Do you own a PS3. Do you play one regularly? Do you have any idea what the system is capable of or do you just base all of your opinions on what has been said by other people? The PS3 deserves to be put down just as much as the 360 and the Wii deserve to get put down. Its not perfect, but its a great gaming system.
The PS3 may cost more, but at least you are getting a ton of value for your money. Plus the hardware is very reliable. Here are few questions that I would like to ask. Does the PS3 break for no aparrent reason? Do I need a wireless adapter to play games online? Do I need to pay for online gaming? Do I have to buy an add-on attachment to enjoy Hi-Def movies? Is the 360 100% backwards compatible? How many times is Microsoft gonna change the DVD-rom drive in the 360? I could go on and on and on about how badly Microsoft has screwed up with hardware of the 360. Yet you seem to think that Microsoft has crafted the perfect system. How is the public going to react when they release a brand new model a la the DS Lite? How pissed off are those first year owners going to be when a bigger better model comes out a year and half into the system's life cycle?
I own a PS3 and I can say that its not perfect...but at least I own it and can form my own opinion about it. You simply reiterate what you read online or in magazines. I have very good reason to praise the system. Even though I only own a single PS3 game I can play it online for free against 40 other people with no lag...right out of the box. The simple fact that I can't stop playing it means that its good in my book. I also have access to over 100 other Playstation games that I own. When I watch movies I want them to be in 1080p because it looks amazing...it really makes the whole home theatre thing that much better. Personally I've always loved Sony's controller and the sixaxis is no different. Its light, comfy and the design is timeless.
The only knock against the system is that there aren't too many games out yet. The same thing could have been said about the 360 early in its life. At least the PS3 launched with an original IP that has killer app potential. I would rather praise the PS3 and wait for its upside to show itself before I call it worthless. As it stands right now its a reliable piece of hardware that offers just as much out of the box as any of the other 3 systems...perhaps even a little more. Give the thing some time to shine, before you write it off as the next virtual boy.
