February and March are turning out to be some pretty good looking months in terms of next gen stuff.  I was wondering what you guys are planning on buying during these two months.  Here is what I'm most interested in.

Wii games

Wii Play

Sonic and the Secret Rings

Tiger Woods 07

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition

PS3

Virtual Fighter 5

Motorstorm

Oblivion

fLOw

360

Crackdown

Multi-platform

NBA Street Homecourt

Virtua Tennis 3

Def Jam Icon

PS2

God of War II

GTA Vice City Stories

Raiden III

I probably won't buy all of these, but they are all on my radar.  Also I know that Oblivion and Godfather are Multiplatform releases, but I plan I buying them for the system I put them under.

Save your money on Wii Play.  It's pretty pointless unless you've got someone else in the room to play with, and if you do there're lots better games to play.  (just my two cents)

I say go ahead and get Wii Play. It's basically the cost of renting a game at Blockbuster so even if you don't like it it's not like you're wasting much money. I thought one of the games (tanks) was great enough to make the package worthwhile alone, and a few of the others aren't too shabby either. The pool game is pretty impressive just based off of how accurately it replicates real pool (although it uses a points system rather than having the winner be whoever sunk the 9-ball). Most of the games are more fun for 2-player.

So anyhow, I'm going pretty light on games for the time being. As you can see I already bought Wii Play, and I think Sonic and the Secret Rings will make a great rental. My PS2 is currently broken, but if I can get it working again I'll have to buy God of War 2. Other than that I'm going easy on the wallet for a while.

Some say Taito Legends 2 might come out in March, if so I'll get that for PS2 and hopefully also Xbox if that version also sees a release, since the game list are different. I'll pick up GTA Vice City Stories since Vice City is the only GTA game that I had any fun with. Brothers in Arms for the 360 which is due just barely after March is on my buy list. I think Raw Danger for the PS2 is due sometime in the next few weeks and I'll be buying that. Also looking for some early PS2 titles, City Crisis, Disaster Report, and Fireblade.

What am I buying next month? um.... undershirts, a new bike
tire, books, magazines...

In terms of games I usually never know as I don't know whats coming out, but from your list I will DEFINITELY grab Raiden 3 as soon as I see it-that is, unless it is 3-D. I REALLY hope they don't do that to my fave 2-D shooter.

Wow, you're able to buy all those games new?  You must be rich.  I hardly ever buy a game new because I don't like spending 40-60 dollars on a game.   The only game I'm buying in these 2 months is Crackdown.  I played the demo and its amazing and I need the Halo 3 beta.  I found it on ebay for 50 bucks.  If it wasn't for the Halo 3 beta I would probably wait until I can find it used for about 30 bucks, which is what I generally do with 360 games.

Basically these months I will be looking around the gamestores and seeing if I can find any good PS2 or Xbox games for about 10 dollars.   I really want to find Armed and Dangerous.

I wish I could buy all those games that I listed.  Fact of the matter is that I simple put up everything that I think has a chance of being decent.  If the game gets a really good review I might buy it.  So far the only games that I know I'm getting for sure are God of War II and NBA Street Homecourt.  Virtua Fighter 5 is probably a rental.  So to answer your question, no I'm not rich, but I wish I was.

Also good luck on finding Armed and Dangerous.  Its one of my favorite action games on the Xbox.  You shouldn't have too much trouble finding it.  I know you can buy it new on ebay for less than $20.  Good Luck.

Alienblue - Don't worry Raiden III is in 2D just the way it is supposed to be.  The game is budget priced to so it should only be $20 or $30 brand new.  I will pick that game up as soon as I see it in stores.  Long live 2D shooters!
