Kirby on Virtual Console

Postby feilong801 » February 21st, 2007, 10:59 pm

I've really been digging Kirby's Dreamland on the Virtual Console. Wow, what a gem this game is!

Being around 13 when the game was released, and very much into my SFII on the SNES, I sorta laughed this one off as a girlie game. I know now that I was an idiot. Awesome.

Kirby, Kid Icarus, Military Madness and Castlevania IV comprise my VC "rotation" these days.

Well thats another $5 that I have to spend this weekend!  I was gonna get this game at some point, but your post pushed me over the edge.  The Virtual Console sees almost as much gaming time as full priced games do.  I love buying these games that I've missed out over the years.

So far I've downloaded Super Mario Bros (because I had to), Toe Jam Earl, Bomberman 93, Dungeon Explorer, Bonk's Adventure and New Adventure Island.

Personally I love New Adventure Island and Bonk's Adventure...pure platforming joy right there.  I play these games on a daily basis slowly tackling the quest set out before me.

Bomberman, Toe Jam and Earl, and Dungeon Explorer are kick ass multiplayer affairs.  If you don't already own them I would recommend all of those titles.  Don't get those last three unless you are planning on playing with some friends.
