Sony pulling a Microsoft

Here's the gist of that. PS3s in Europe won't be fully backward compatible. Sony is removing the hardware to make the cost of production cheaper, and using emulation for PSX and PS2 games. The amount of compatible PS2 games is "limited". Why would Sony do this to an area they've already made wait for the console?

Because Sony think they can get away with it.  They make us pay ridiculously more than the US and Japan, make us wait for months, shut down one of the two biggest import game companies servicing our region (something I am particularly annoyed about).  This really is the least of the things they have done.

As much as we're always going to disagree on Nintendo systems, it appears we are on the same page with the PS3.  We've been seeing price increases here in Canada too.   Now, I didn't want one to begin with, but when the price of the thing goes UP in my region after a few months on the market, I start to just feel insulted.
