Competition and exclusives during console wars

In America, video gaming has had all this competition and exclusives for systems but how was it? In the mid-to late 80s, Nintendo reduced competition by forcing companies to make games on the NES only and not on Sega Master System and Atari 7800. To me that was not a console war. In the early-to mid 90s, the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo duked it out with their mascots, Sonic and Mario, to have great games. Sega excelled in sports, and platforms, while Nintendo had RPGs, and fighting games on their side. Both companies wanted to have the best exclusives including Street Fighter. That would probably be the best console war ever. From the mid 90s to the early 2000s, it was an okay console war between Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation, and Nintendo 64. The Saturn had problems with hardware, so it lost. PS, and N64, had a great competition, even though the 64 was cartridged. Exclusives came from mainly Sega and Sony with some of their expected titles even though the Saturn failed. The N64 did have exclusives but not as much as Saturn and PS. Onto the last generation. Last generation had the Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, and newcoming Microsoft Xbox. It did not even look like a console war at all. Why? Because Sony had too many exclusives for the PS2 between launch October 2000 to today and did not bother to give it to other systems. Xbox had a good start for being a newcomer to games in  America, and brought hits like Halo. Nintendo did not even want to have companies make games. They wanted to make games on their own. Sega abandoned the Dreamcast and devoted to make games only. In this generation, the Xbox 360 is off to a good ahead start since 2005, but the Wii is catching up. The PS3 sounds like a failure at first but later on, it might, and I mean MIGHT, be a success later on. Nitnedo has gotten some exclusives, and Sony will try to pull off the same thing as the PS2- get so many exclusives to reduce number of titles of other systems.

I'll consider a name change, but just a warning, it might not start with a. I do like aaaaaaaugh, though, or I could be aaa. Because when I'm here it is three times as awesome.
