It's a clearance sell. ie they're not restocking anything, they're just trying to clear out inventory.
After hitting another Best Buy on the way home I snagged a few games. All pretty much in the craptacular category. Seriously, though I think all the employees got the good stuff at 10:00 am this morning. None of the triple A titles were available. I've been hoping for a clearance on cube games for awhile now. Anyway, here's my list of stuff. Most bad with a few gems thrown in.
DS
2 TAK3:The Great JuJu Challange
2 Pac Pix
10 Sprung
GBA
10 Gunstar Super Heroes
2 Ultimate Spiderman
2 Drill Dozer
2 Fairly odd parents: clash
2 Power Rangers S.P.D.
PS2
5 Star Ocean: Till The End of Time
2 Rainbow Six 3
2 Ghost Recon
Xbox
10 Taito Legends
5 Red Dead Revolver
5 Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood
5 Destroy All Humans
2 Evil Dead Regenerations
2 Chronicles of Narnia
2 Tecmo Classic Arcade
2 187 Ride or Die
2 LA Rush
2 Marc Ecko's Getting Up
2 Darkwatch
2 Dead or Alive Ultimate
2 Def Jame Fight for NY
2 Sonic Riders
Total haul $86 plus tax for 25 or so games. Most in the "eh" stage but some were an absolute bargain.
Good Luck!

Actually dude you snagged some decent games. Darkwatch, Def Jam, Star Ocean and Gunstar are all pretty good. Too bad I missed this!

Yeah he did great. Be sure and try Darkwatch, that game is awesome. A few of the game are crap like 187 ride or die, but he only paid 2 bucks so no big deal. I hear Mark Echo's getting up is a pretty good Prince of Persia style platformer in the inner city, so thats why I bolded it in the list. Probably the only major mistake he made was buying sprung for 10 dollars. It looks like junk and it has a 48 percent at gamerankings. If you haven't opened it up, I'd recommend taking it back.

Well I just got back from my local BestBuy and this secret sale was not happening. About 90% of the games listed weren't even at the store to begin with and the few they had didn't ring up at a discounted price. I think they moved all this stuff to larger metro areas weeks ago. I live in Rhode Island and I live an hour away from any major metro area, so that might be why my BestBuy didn't have the sale. Anyways, thanks for the heads up...I wish I could have taken advantage of this.

That's strange. I expected 90 percent of the games to be gone, like they were at my store, but I wonder why it rung up wrong. I haven't heard anyone have this problem yet, anyone else have this problem? Maybe some states aren't doing it or something. I hope your store gets its act together.

My guess is you missed it by a few hours. The first one I went to just after lunch had a small inventory and then at 4:30 or so I made it to another with an even smaller inventory of the $2 stuff. I saw Best Buy guys going around and removing the $2 price list stickers for games that were sold out to avoid hearing the "Do you have this game in the back?" type questions.
