Stories in Games Overrated!

I think Half Life is way ahead of the curve in its story telling. Telling the story in game in real time is a better method than the constant "jarring" cut scene deal.

 

I did think Gears did a good job of this also.

I'm with the critic here. Sometimes I really enjoy cutscenes-they were the only reason I played through FFX-but generally I skip over them. I'm fine with games having stories, but I think the option to press A and go right to gameplay should always be in cutscens. I was thanking my lucky stars that I didn't have to watch any of the crap in Sonic and the Secret Rings.
