Some of you are probably familiar with the NES cover band The Advantage. Well their drummer, Spencer Seim, spends most of his time as a guitarist for a math/noise rock band called Hella. Hella released a dual solo-album and Spencer's half of it is called "Chirpin Hard".
A couple of songs in particular on this album sound like brand new NES inspired compositions and contain NES-like sounds/samples. Those interested should check out the tracks "Chirpin' Hard" and "Gold Mine, Gold Yours". You can listen to them for free here:

These tracks get my nostalgic juices flowing in a whole new way! I think it would be awesome if someone employed Mr. Seim to do a new video game soundtrack, especially one with an old-school flair.
