I agree with about 70% of the games on that list.

I would heavily second Battalion Wars, Pikmin, Star Wars Rouge Leader, Super Smash Brothers, Resident Evil 4

I also love Def Jam Fight for NY, Chibi-Robo, Alien Hominid, Lego Star Wars I&II, Mario Baseball,
Resident Evil is definily one of the top 5 games for the system, and a must buy. Also by far the best game in the series if you, like me, was a fan before the serie completely changed direction with RE4 (which shouldn't have been called RE4 in the first place, given that it's nothing like the other games. Gun Survivor got a different name, so why didn't this?)
It probably was called RE4 because it follows the storyline of the other Resident Evils. Also, RE4 kicked ass so it deserved to be part of the series, Gun Survivor sucked so it didn't.

I just sold a bunch of cube games to free some cash for the Wii. (I'll probably only regret a couple, but life goes on. When I quit playing a game, its usually for good.) Here is what I kept, they have some replay value I think.

1. Pikmin 2 - best GC game, imo, maybe cost more than the first but it is worth it, improved graphics, controls, multiplayer, piklopedia, etc.

2. SSBM - you maybe heard a little about this game somewhere, it is fun.

3. Mario Kart DD, so good, it makes all the mariokarts before it unplayable, at least to me. Great graphics style will never look dated, awesome control, well designed courses. F-U-N! I fell in love with this game.

4.LOZTP - got this for Christmas, it's a great  game for the bargain-cube

5. Viewtiful Joe - My brother bought this for the GC so he could play it once in a while, he's a DC stalwart. I don't play it, but it ain't mine to sell!

6.DKJB - GREAT 2-d platformer, I think it is the best DK game ever. I am maybe the only person in the world to play it with the GC pad, I can punch buttons faster than I can beat bongos, so maybe take a chance and buy it without the $20 bongo rip-off. You know it is a simple game if you can play it by beating a drum, so once you get used to the simulated drum controls on the pad, it is second nature. This game makes my cry on how beautiful 2-d games are neglected these days. And this game is a work of art, very stylish.

7.Mario Soccer, also got this one for Christmas, but you don't want sports games. Very fun and arcade-like is this game.

8. Battalion Wars - Also a very fun game, it will be on Ebay soon to help pay for BW II.

Thats all I got, good luck, you should get a lot of bang for your buck, whatever you buy for that underapreciated and undervalued lunchbox.

maybe we could work out me buying battalion wars so you don't have to pay listing/paypal fees? Although I don't know exactly how that would work - who would send their item/cash first!

True enough. How about Code Veronica, then?

If you're into platform games, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is a severely underrated game for the Gamecube.  A lot of people wrote it off for being too "kiddy" (an inevitable byproduct of having the hero dressed as a rooster) but I had a blast playing it.  Without a doubt one of my favorite platformers since the SNES\Genensis days.

Three games I would recommend are:

1. Super Smash Bros. Melee (great gameplay, infinite replayability, nuff said)

2. Paper Mario (if you want an RPG this is the bomb)

3. Super Monkey Ball 2 (awsome minigames, pretty fun puzzles)
