Has this ever happened to you? I'm stuck in just about every game I'm playing at the moment, and it's driving me up the wall. (Possible spoilers ahead)

Lifeforce Tenka -- Stuck on the level where you have to retrieve Jameson's memories. I either die or, as most recently happened to me, I ran out of ammo! (Grrr...)

Tombi! -- Absolutely lost in this--I've had no luck climbing Phoenix Mountain.

Croc 2 -- Stuck on the second boss (Roger Red Ant).

God of War -- Even worse than Croc 2--I'm stuck on the FIRST boss in this game!

Kya: Dark Lineage -- Stuck...somewhere. It's been so long since I last played this, I can't remember exactly where I got stuck.

Mario & Luigi -- Stuck on the final boss battle. I can defeat Bowletta, no problem; it's Cackletta that's giving me grief. I just cannot seem to beat her!

Sonic Rush -- As above; stuck on the final boss stage, "Unknown". I can get to within 2 hits of defeating the boss, but then I always die. ALWAYS.

GoldenEye -- Stuck on the train level -- can't get off the train before it explodes. I know what I need to do, but I keep stuffing up. Most recently, I actually managed to get off the train, but Natalya was killed in the blast, so I failed the mission AGAIN.

Banjo-Kazooie -- Up to Mad Monster Mansion, but can't figure out where the next level is on the world map.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron -- Stuck on the mission where you have to rescue the Nonnah. The rescue shuttle keeps getting destroyed on me.

There's some others, but those are the ones giving me the most grief.

I'm not sure if you're asking for tips, but if you need them I've beaten 6 out of 10 of those games. Feel free to ask.

Wish I could be of help, but I haven't played any of those games. What I CAN tell you is that I've not beaten a game in years now. -well I did "beat" mario vs. Donkey Kong 2, and again on the first challenge, but not the second challenge. I got stuck on the squid boss in Princess Peach; I'm still in the middle of valley of Bowser on Super Mario advance 2, and of all the games on Megamanx collection, only got through the first stage on MMX4.

I don't care if I beat a game or not as long as I've played it enough; i.e. gotten at least half ways through it - enough to get my "moneys worth" ... there's a point some "beat'em" games stop being fun and become WORK. That's why I like the old "play for points" games of yore. Pick up n play, stop when you're tired. No endings!

The trick is to just run like hell to the level exit after you get out of the train. As long as you get here before the time runs out, Natalya's position doesn't matter.

I rarely finish any modern games anymore.  I put a bunch of time into Zelda and was really tearing it up and then I hit an escort mission a month ago and haven't turned it on since.  I failed the mission once, and it's so horribly implemented that I can't bring myself  to turn it back on.

When I was younger I played Kiboki Quantum Fighter for a long time until I could consistently reach the boss.  He killed me a bunch of times with cheap deaths and I just couldn't beat him, so I gave that up too.

I can tell you that with God of War, after you stun the baby hydra, you need to quickly climb up the boxes to the left or right and drop the anchor on its head to kill it for good.  Once you do that to both baby hydra, you can climb the netting and hack away at the mama hydra.  Did that help?

You'll never be in a rut for long if you turn to www.gamefaqs.com
They have walk-thru for just about every game.  I use them often.

There's an easier way. Try to hit trevelyan or onatopp after killing ourumov to buy extra time. If not, when you run off the train, head towards crates where the guards are. Kill the guards and stay there. Natalya will run to you and will be protected from the blast. Once the explosion and secondary explosions are done, run down until the cutscene.

Thanks for the GoldenEye & God of War tips, guys. I'll have to try them out.

Also, I spoke too soon regarding Sonic Rush--I just beat the final boss today. Everything just fell into place. Well, that's Sonic's story over and done with--now on to Blaze's story.

The other games I need the most help with are Tombi (aka Tomba in the US) and Kya: Dark Lineage. I'll try and get through Rogue Squadron on my own, and I'm thinking of just giving up on Banjo-Kazooie--I'm not enjoying the game all that much.

Let's see...

Drill Dozer - Stuck on the boss of 2-2. I can get her down to one or two more 'hits', but after that she never seems to allign with the drill, I get hurt and eventually die.

Final Fantasy X - Got to Mi'hen Highlands, but then picked up Tales of the Abyss and haven't played it since.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Lost interest. I figure I'll be hooked on it again after I beat my other GBA games.

Ghost Recon - Stuck on the tenth mission where you have to protect the tanks.

Jak 3 - I honestly can't remember where I got stuck.

Kingdom Hearts - Also lost interest. Combat is dull, camera is annoying and I hate the real-time menus.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Dungeon before the final boss. Just sort of got bored with the game... I should probably finish it.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures - Halfway through, but I started playing another game and have yet to go back to it. I should probably play it sometime.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes - Vulcan Raven's tank keeps killing me

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence - The Fear is pretty damn hard to hit, and I don't have enough rotten food to lure him with. Also, sometimes I walk into the pits by accident while using the heat sensing visor thing.

Paper Mario 2 - I honestly have no idea why I stopped playing this! I got to the final dungeon, and wasn't bored AT ALL... but then I just stopped playing!

Shadow of the Collosus - The sandworm, I think he's the tenth. I know what to do, but can't ever seem to do it.

Shenmue 2 - Lost interest after the stupid "carry these books!" part.

Yggdra Union - Picked up Golden Sun 2 and stopped playing.
