I've always been a fan of arcade-style basketball games since NBA Jam (SNES), and Homecourt continues that traditional. The three NBA Street games for the PS2 (which I will be posting belated reviews for) were all fun, but all pretty much the same.
Homecourt shares the same gameplay with its predecessors, but the step up in terms of audio and visuals in substantial. It may not be a revolution, but it's one hell of an evolution. Stay tuned for a full review in coming weeks.

I feel the exact same way Critic. I Bought this game the day it came out and man is it great. The dunks are outrageous and I constantly find myself in awe while playing it. The graphics and sounds are certainly top notch too.
Its worth pointing out that the PS3 version has a nasty glitch when trying to run the game in 1080p resolution. I actually returned the game because I thought it was broken, only to find out online that the game is having trouble with the resolution. There is supposed to be a patch to fix it, but that is shoddy work from EA Big in my eyes.
Still the game works fine in 720p, and I enjoy it. Anybody would be wise to pick it up. I look forward to your review Critic.

Actually, I was pretty annoyed when the game forced me to install yet another patch before playing it! It's really a time-consuming chore, and I've had to do it with several games so far (hell, I only have 5). I've never encountered this issue with any other console except the PSP. Looks like Sony is already on board with the "ship it now fix it later" philosophy I hate so much.

Really? When did you buy the game, because I haven't had to download anything...does a message pop up when you boot up the game?
Maybe its just a patch to fix the 1080p issue..
Anywho, please let me know because this 1080p thing is bothering me. Thanks.

It looks better on the 360 to me. I actually was impressed with how this game turned out after so much playing of NBA Street Vol.3 Critic. Definitely an eye-catcher with graphics. Anyway, I kinda find the achievements for the game pretty easy at first, since I got 7 out of 16 in one day.
