PS3>Wii?

I'm just wondering why you decided to buy the PS3 over the Wii. I know that you'll eventually buy the Wii, but I want to know why you chose Sony first. Also, did you buy the 600-dollar version, or the 500? Thanks!

in four + months since launch, ive only seen one wii on a shelf, and it was the one i bought. if i were like the critic and had the disposable cash, i would own a PS3 as well, but sony grossly overestimated the number of people that have and are willing to drop that much on a game console.

Yup, same as above answers. I haven't seen a single Wii since mine, and I have seen, I think, 8 PS3s by last count. If I had the money I'd pick one up, too.

On the other hand, the Critic could have bought a Wii over EBAY at any time, if he didn't mind paying over market and shipping costs.

Only eight in total? Over the lifespan of the ps3, at various stores at various times i've seen at least over 35 ps3's in total by now.

VideoGameCritic will be getting a Wii in 2009 (and watch that prediction come true!).

See, VideoGameCritic? If you made a note that said: "VideoGameCritic doesn't have a Wii because he only plays REAL game consoles, not non-game systems!" you would be buried in hate mail, and be plastered on every gaming blog. Of course, the Critic doesn't think that way, but if I were him I would make such a note just to see what reaction I would get!

I haven't exactly been looking for them, but I can say that I have seen them every time I have gone to Target or Wal-Mart.

Of course he would, because there is not a shred of reason for anyone to make a statement like that. I guess I am confused at how this related to the topic at hand.
