There were several Golden age ones for me, and no, PONG was not one. I don't like Football/Baseball so of course those are yawners. I recall playing MOUSE TRAP on the 2600 and couldn't believe my mom had just spent $28 for THAT...one maze after another, super easy, no variations or prizes*YAWN*....many Data East and Appollo games fit here-BUGS,SKEET SHOOT-HO-HUM....
Many INTV games fit this catagory..so SLOW. Armor Battle, Sea Battle, Star Hawk, Boxing, Sub Hunt, Mission X..*Yawn*...
Custers Revenge was THE worst; offensive and DULL! Move a nekid custer forward, back, forward, back, forward, back as he dodged arrows over n over n over n over..... just so you could watch an extremely stupid copulation scene? ZZZZZZZ!
Recent ones? Last Battle on Genesis; D*Force on SNES; Nexttetris on PSX; Tetris Worlds on GBA; and DEFFINITELY Lost In Blue on DS -should have called THAT thing FIND AN ITEM EVERY THREE SECONDS OR DIE AGAIN!(It's a shame 'cause I loved the IDEA of the game, just not the EXECUTION. Any played LIB 2? Any better?)
Okay, there's my video sleeping pill list-others?

I found myself incredibly bored playing Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. I was beginning to think, after reading the glowing reviews, that something was wrong with me, until I decided to look up and read the Critic's. Sometimes it's comforting to know that you aren't crazy for not liking something most others seem to adore.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang snore
How this game somehow got positive reviews on GameFAQs (or, well, anything beyond 1) baffles me.

[QUOTE=Linkdude]Tattoo Assassins (although it was only released it certain places but I play it on MAME), Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Pocketbike Racer, Brain Age.

I definitely agree with KOTOR 2. The original KOTOR was so much fun and so involving. It was near impossible to be bored in that game. KOTOR 2 was ... golly, almost the complete opposite. I kept expecting the story to go somewhere, and it just didn't. A lot of gamers suggested that the story was too deep for many with its supposedly deep philosophical themes, but I am a pretty serious student of philosophy, and I couldn't see anything in it other than wandering ideas without any place to resolve.
It had a lot of potential though. And some of the characterizations were excellent, particularly Kreia. That old broad was tough and had the perfect combination of cryptic language and moral ambiguity.

Astroblast on Intellivision (in emulator anyway). What an easy game. It takes so long to get to the point where you need a frontal lobe to play, that I'm already moved on to Demon Attack, Kaboom, and Asteroids by the time I'd have found any challange in there.
Splinter Cell is probably the most boring game I've ever played. The game basically breaks down to "walk the man away from light". Wow, exciting.
I find Gran Tourismo terrible. You spend so much time on earning the right to drive in a boring race that it makes the boring race even more boring.

I agree completely. At first it's like, "Wow, this game is really realistic, these guys react to sound like real people would!" Then it quickly changes to "Augh, this game is too realistic; I just wanted to have fun." I couldn't even get through the second level.

I third that. I'm picking up Syphon Filter for the PSP when the price drops; it has the realistic movement of Splinter Cell, yet you can run around and shoot people.

Personally, I like Astrosmash for that very fact; it is like electronic Whittling; a kinda zen meditation with video games!
