LastGen GONE already!?

As Y'all know, I just got a first model XBOX. Today I went down to my WAL*MART (only place within 40 miles that HAS games) and THEY HAD THREE XBOX GAMES LEFT. THREE! All stinkers!

In addition, they had 9 PS2, 8 GBA and 2 Gamecube games. Yes, I looked EVERYWHERE, even the hits section.
EVERYTHING was X360,PS3,PSP,DS and Wii-the last weird since they HAD NO WII SYSTEMS!!! The Assistant told me "yeh, we're getting rid of all the OLD stuff." OLD stuff...months OLD!? And The next gens are suposedly backwards compatible!

*Sigh* 'tis good I'm expecting some Xbox games via mail sometime. It is unplugged right now. I got a DS game- "WARIO- MASTER OF DISGUISE"-I'll review it soon, but I WANTED XBOX GAMES! Is this a common thing EVERYWHERE?

Hmm, there are still quite a few Xbox titles around where I'm at.

Tons, actually, and being sold at crazy, super cheap prices.

I think for the Gamecube it is all over. The X-Box is close behind but with God of War 2 just released I still think the PS2 has a little life in it. The game is incredible fun!

Now's the time to search for clearances and buy all the games you can dirt cheap.

there is no first party support or new hardware coming out for xbox and gamecube. the PS2 will still be kicking, but 129 is not the bargain that 50 dollars was for the PS1 at the end of its life

Well, my Wal-Mart still has titles from everything last generation and today's generation. There are plenty of PS2 games. PS3 had it's own section of games. The Gamecube has games, even Super Smash Bros. Melee since 2001. The Xbox has a few titles there but no systems. 360 offered plenty of titles. Finally, the Wii has most of their titles. They sell last generation and anything from 1985-1999 games at my Etc, Etc. They even had an Xbox 360. In there, there is NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Playstation, Game Boy games, and the game systems. They still sell PS2 games.

Guys, an idea....we have this Video Store here that used to rent Xbox and MAY be selling old Xbox games. The only problem: On
another site it said "The Xbox is very prone to NOT PLAYING
Old or scratched discs, much more so than PS/PS2 ... you will
get an error message."

Anyone buying used XB games have this problem? Sales are final
and I dont want to pay $14 for a plastic drink coaster....
