Try using a program like DOSBox. It emulates the DOS program decently, but some games still don't work on that program.

Don't bother with DosBox.  Its a great program, but for classic LucasArts games you need to use SCUMMVM.  Go to the link below.

http://www.scummvm.org/

This will allow you to play old LucasArts games perfectly on newer computers.  The website has tons of information and if you have any questions the people in the forums are friendly and quick to respond.

Let me know how this works out for you...I have a feeling you will be enjoying DotT soon enough.

4.5. Can I run my game full screen?

Yes. You can either start your game using the -f command line parameter, setting the game to Full Screen in the ScummVM Options dialog, or by using the Alt+Enter key combination in-game to switch between full screen and windowed modes.

Thats taken from the FAQs over at SCUMMVM.org.  I usually just go with the alt enter key while playing.  Enjoy!

Yeah I tried that and in the options. It just crashes. Oh well it's not a big deal.

Hmmm...thats kinda strange.  I would shoot a question on the forums at scummvm.org.  Whenever I've had trouble getting games to run correctly those guys helped out quite a bit.  They seem to take a great deal of pride in keeping the LucasArts adventures alive and well.  You have to register to post on the forum, but it only takes a few minutes.

Its worth figuring out, because playing in a small window doesn't compare to a full screen.

This game is addictive. I'm pretty far into it. At first I was a little disappointed that the house wasn't a replica of the Maniac Mansion, but I like it now.
