Critic, you are telling me that not a single Wii owner has to adjust the sensitivity for some of the games? You would be incorrect. When I played red steel me and my buddy had to tinker with the controls to make it even come close to being responsive. Same goes for (I forget the title) the second golf game that was released. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Seriously, just give "F"'s across the board to your PS3 reviews and don't bother with a narrative; I think we all get it now.

[ . . . ][/QUOTE]I think a big difference is that the Jaguar could not deliver cutting edge games if it wanted to.  The hardware (like the way RAM works) was made so oddly, that techniques which became commonplace (like texture-mapping) were almost impossible on the Jag. 
 
When I hear developers talk about the PS3, it doesn't sound like it has those kind of flaws.  It sounds like, "Oh, the PS3 is going to be difficult to get the most out of, but we're not too worried.  The PS3 at half speed is way ahead of last gen."  Not, "Well, techniques that we use in all of our next gen games are straight up impossible on the PS3, so we plan to just throw a few weak Amiga ports out and call it a day."

Ok, you are right, I am totally wrong, the Wii is perfect. It is the greatest system ever. Nobody has ever had to screw around the sensitivity of the controls (I guess everything I have read or experienced is wrong) at times. I am not saying they are terrible, what I am saying is that they aren't perfect and sometimes you have to excercise a bit of patience. You Nintendo Fans are an interesting bunch.

the snes was the only console to make up a market share deficit. but that only happened after they matched prices with the genesis, and sega started branching off their support of the genesis for other systems (CD, 32X, Saturn).

so barring huge mistakes by both nintendo and microsoft and a huge price decrease from sony, they will wallow in third place in terms of install base.

(factoid error 2, the saturn launched months before the playstation, but it had a higher price and few titles available during its few months on the market alone. )




what i find most interesting is the 360 isnt doing so well either. and it makes perfect sense really, as no console have ever done extremely well when priced over 300 bucks. the PS and PS2 never caught on with casual gamers until their price points dipped under 200 dollars. and instead of putting more pressure on sony and dropping the price a measly 50 bucks or so, the rumor mill has MS releasing a new version of the 360 at an even higher price point than they are at now. if its true, that would be a huge blunder on their part and may open the door for sony after all, or at least keep them on life support

This evaluation coming from you is quite comical.  You are about as biased as I've EVER seen on a forum.  You are the very definition of "fanboy", and here you are pointing fingers.
 
In any case, your criticism of the Wii isn't the pivot of my criticism here.  The critic so far has reviewed three PS3 games and all of them were in the B to A range, and you have the crazy nerve to say THE CRAP you spouted out here.
 
And what was his sin?  Pointing out a few flaws in Sony's vision. some things that even ardent Sony fans are billowing about.  Saying that the Wii was easy to set up, well that obviously makes him a fanboy, eh?

Just thought I would compare and contrast the mood of these forums a bit, though:
 
Gamecube fans on this forum said (more or less): Well, yeah, Nintendo messed up with online and third parties and the system looks like a kids toy and what's with that stupid handle and all that, but hey, some of the games are great!
 
Versus the few PS3 die hards now (at least here): Nothing you ever say negative is correct at all, the system will dominate, nobody has any merit to criticize Sony, and if you do, you are a fanboy.

Wii is incredibly easy to set up at first, but the remote does behave erratically once in awhile when it comes to keeping its connection. I've encountered, on more than a few occasions, the remote losing sync with the console when exiting a Virtual Console game, not being able to sync it back up, and having to turn the system off, on, and re-syncing it by opening the battery case of the remote and the console's SD-slot cover.

Which is just as irritating as - and listen closely, The Snoot - the PS3 SIXAXIS's incredibly noticeable habit of losing blue-tooth connectivity.

Ohhh yeah... and the astute observation of tweaking with sensitivity settings. You're perfectly correct. No PC gamer or console gamer trying to play a first person shooter or a game with camera control has EVER had to change ANY sensitivity of ANY kind before the Wii came around (Resistance Fall of Man; Halo; Halo 2; Half Life; Call of Duty 3; Call of Duty 3; Killzone; Gears of War; Perfect Dark Zero; Splinter Cell; Project Snowblind; and the list goes on). Whew, knocked my socks right off.
