The Video Game Critic

Well, I got burned this month. I bought Wario: Master Of Disguise (see my review) blind-but how often has Nintendo released a really HORRIBLE Wario game?! I should have waited for the review in the Nintendo Power April 2007 issue; it only got a 6.5! And THAT is being kind!

I can NOT figure out how to beat the first boss of this stupid game. It makes no sense. I KNOW I must wear the spacesuit, I KNOW I must shoot the globe-when you hit it 4 times the boss ship crashes and he cries. But no matter HOW many times I hit it- I got it FOURTEEN TIMES today!- it keeps regenerating! Shooting or jumping on the downed boss is no help either!

Does ANYBODY own this game (I feel sorry for you), and know how to beat the boss? I cannot accsess Game.faq. Thanks.

Hey Alienblue, here is a blurb from gamefaqs...I hope this help you beat the boss and get some enjoyment out of Wario MOD.


During this and any future boss fights, Goodstyle will provide hints as to
what disguise you should be using in the lower-left corner of the touch
screen. The hints will come in the form of icons corresponding to a given
disguise. For this first battle, you only have two disguises at your
disposal, so it will be rather straightforward.


To start off, Cannoli will float towards you, dropping bombs to attack (you
can destroy them with Cosmic Wario's lasers). A blue switch above Cannoli
will periodically start to glow; when it does, use Cosmic Wario and shoot a
laser at it. This will stun Cannoli and open up the glass shield protecting
him. Quickly switch back to Thief Wario and jump on his head to cause damage. Cannoli will then dash across the room with his drill bit spinning; simply duck down to avoid it. Repeat the same strategy two more times to defeat him, completing this episode!

ARRGGH! I wasn't QUITE fast enough....thanks, Justlikeheaven for your trouble, but I just got back on to say that I just figured it out and beat level one (OF COURSE, after posting the question! It's Princess Peach all over...except SPP was a GOOD game!)
So yeah, I figured it out on my own after trying EVERYTHING else. This is just one of the games flaws: The icon in the lower left is supposed to TELL you what suit to wear but it NEVER changes from "star"=astronaut! How was I supposed to know you had to turn back to theif? After a week of trying everything else I finally GUESSED right...in Super Princess Peach, remember, you got SPECIFIC hints. Also, The text"talking" at the start of each level is wayyyy too long, I want to PLAY not READ, nintendo!
I still give this game a D+ at this point!-but thanks again!
