Why do you have someone else review RPGs?

Since you usually review games on how fun they are, why don't you review them instead? I trust your opinion way more than someone who just clamours over the next Final Fantasy.

The Critis dislikes long games, ie RPGs.

It's not that I don't like long games, it's just that I gravitate towards fast, arcade-style titles. Another reason is that I like to update the site on a regular basis, and if I spent all my time on an RPG, that would be hard.
That said, the next time I get a lull in my schedule I'd really like to sink my teeth into a good RPG. Stay tuned.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record now but if you want to try a RPG, try Oblivion for Xbox 360 or PS3. I know you are looking for some good games for the PS3, and the PS3 port is getting great reviews. Its not a long winded boring turn based RPG. It has an awesome sword fighting system and you can go anywhere and do anything. The game can be beaten in 8-10 hours if you stick to the main quest, but of course you won't want to as there are just hundreds of subquests you can do such as joining a thieves gang. Try it out, you wont be disappointed. The game breaks every single stereotype RPGs have and is one of the greatest games ever.

From what I have noticed, the critic is a huge fan of Star Wars.
And the best way to get into RPGS at all is via Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic!
Either that or Oblivion
Panzer Dragoon Saga is over 200 Bucks, then again i assume the critic is an avid collector and yeah

I actually played Knights for about two hours, but got bored and never went back to it. Maybe I'll start it back up this Spring and try to play long enough to bang out a review.

I would much rather see the Critic sink his teeth into some older RPGs. I wouldn't mind if he reviewed some more action RPGs.
Here is what I would love to seem him review
Action RPGS
Crusader of Centy - Genesis
Alundra - PS1
Secret of Evermore - SNES
Traditional RPGs
Earthbound - SNES
Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2)
I would love to see just one of those game reviewed. That would be great.

I'd love to see his takes on the Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest and Phantasy Star games, myself. These two series represent the pinnacle of classic japanese RPGs (screw you, Final Fantasy), and aren't as time-consuming as most newer games either, nor as hard to get into.
