Hello everyone,
First of all, I really enjoy the site. Keep up the great work, Critic.
On to my question:
For those of you that own a Wii, I see that the Classic Controller plugs into the Wiimote for use. What do you do with the Wiimote while playing a game with the Classic Controller? Do you have to point the Wiimote at the TV to get it to work? Can it just sit on the floor?
I just thought of another question: how often do you go through batteries on the Wiimotes? It seems to me that an application, such as the Wiimote, would eat batteries for breakfast 10 times over, and then having to use the Classic Controller the same way. One thing's for sure, I'll definitely be buying the Wiimote charger at some point.
Thanks for your help.

Wii Owners - Classic Controller question
The Wiimote can just be left on the floor - the constrol stick on the Classic Controller takes over the functions you'd otherwise use the pointer for.
As for batteries, they seem to last fairly long. I've had to change them once so far, and I've had the console for months. Granted, I don't play every day, but still, it uses far less power than my GBA.

Wii Owners - Classic Controller question
The Wii-mote sits comfortable on my lap or at the side of my chair when I use the classic controller.
As for batteries, they last a LONG time if you are just using the classic controller (since it is only using the blue-tooth). What kills the battery is lots of rumble use (which obviously isn't a factor with the classic controller). Just pick up some rechargables and you won't ever have to worry about batteries.

Wii Owners - Classic Controller question
Weren't they talking about having a notch in the back of the classic controller to hook the Wiimote in?

Yes, and although there are odd slots on the back of the classic controller, they don't seem to connect to anything (yet).
