[QUOTE=Paul Campbell]Something still seems fishy. I think I'll wait a little longer before I decide who to believe.

See I'm doubting it even more because of the PSP. If memory serves, the PSP had huge launches there, where people were lined up all over the place to buy the thing. Pre-orders were through the roof, and there was no real bad press about the product coming from North America yet. Also, the system wasn't changed before being sold over there, somehow hurting a feature that the US and Japan had. Meanwhile, the PS3 loses some backwards computability, months of horrible press are heaped on Sony in North America and Japan, and the launch night is a total bust with no lines and minimal pre-orders. Add on that the PS3 is WAAYYYYY more expensive than the PSP, and I have trouble believing numbers that claim it sold better than the PSP. Something's not adding up.
And of course, when the company blatantly lies and says there aren't any PS3s in stores in North America, even though everyone has seen piles and piles of them, and especially after they very purposely paid to deceive consumers this past Christmas with the "All I want for x-mas thing", I don't give them the benefit of the doubt.
