Nights Sequel Confirmed

I was glad to see that it wasn't an april fools joke.  The Wii really is the best home for a new Nights game.  The motion controls should make it one of the innovative games to come out on the system.  Of course Sega could screw it up completely. 

I'm wondering if its too late for a Nights sequel to acutally work though.  I remember reading posts on Kotaku and most people never played the orginal game and others complained that the jester character looked too "gay".  I think even if this game gets great reviews few people will actually buy it.

Dont be so pessimistic Justlikeheaven, NiGHTs has a huge following and im sure it wont catch on mainstream but it will probobly have a cult following like its predacessor

My concern is that SEga will screw it up... And sometimes its good for games NOT to have sequels... It makes them more SPECIAL :-p

Please see my earlier post.  It is being developed by the worst studio at Sega who brought us Shadow the Hedgehog.  And Yuji Naka is not involved.

I was hardly being pessimistic about the game.  I was being more of a realist rather than a pessimist.  Nights has a huge cult following, but most teenagers today have no idea about this game.  How many people that bought Wii's are going to buy a game that they don't even realize is a sequel?  Hopefully Sega doesn't release it around the holidays with all of the Nintendo's AAA stuff (Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime)...it would be a bigger insult to Sega if they got the gameplay right and it was overloooked due to mainstream folk scooping up the Nintendo first party stuff.

That being said, anybody who even remotely enjoyed the first game will probably buy the new game regardless of the reviews it gets.

You have no idea how badly I want this game to succeed.  I will go as far to say as its one of the more important Wii games at this point.
