My personal fav: Propellor Arena: Aviation Battle Championship! Deep controls, true crazy taxi vibe, an awesome indie punk soundtrack and some great vistas for the DC.  Cracking 4 way multiplayer with bots as well.
Was that ever actually released?  I recall that it got canned in the states right after 911 and I was so looking forward to it.  I think I can get it by doing a little research and burning it but never knew if it got a release in Europe.
It was finished, but never released- though it got leaked.

Best Jet Game Ever?

Now this topic I like. There have been very few jet shooters that have got me hooked. It all began when I was 14 and Star Fox first came out on the SNES. After that nothing lived up to Star Fox. A decade had past, then there it was, the holy grail of all jet shooters....Ace Combat 3. It has it all.

I have been out of the game so to speak, consol games that is. I don't know about you guys but my journey of video games kinda changed to PC not to long ago. I feel I have more freedom with PC games. I find more games I like and only have to upgrade 1 system.

Anyway, there are 2 types of jet shooters. The shooter type where you just fly around and shoot stuff. They do add just enough plot to keep the older gamers hooked longer, but really how much plot do you need to fly around in a jet and shoot stuff? Then there is the realistic simulation type, which is a little more for me. But you wont find that on any console. So, Ace Combat 3 then.
