[QUOTE=The Video Game Critic]Being in Game Rankings improves this site's visibility, search engine rankings, and traffic in general.  If the editor over there thinks that enough people care, he might change his mind.

I guess I'm thick-skulled, because it still doesn't make sense to me.  These sound like site owner concerns (more traffic = more rev), not user concerns.  But, I suppose it's worth a try.

I also sent off a very positive email outlining the benefits of your site and the community that it offers, as well as your divine insight

[QUOTE=feilong80]And besides that, there are many lesser sites used to create "meta data" on game rankings. There are probably many poeple who roam this site without making a peep on the forums. I probably viewed this site faithfully for over a year before I said one word in the forums.

I see no bias against Sony from the Critic.   If he really was biased he wouldn't have given the PS1 and PS2 such glowing reviews.  But back on topic, I can't think of any other site that covers such a large variety of platforms, both modern and classic.  I may not agree with some of his reviews, but at least he is honest and for the most part very good at explaining his reasoning behind them.  You can count me among the supporters of this site staying on gamerankings..

I'm really pleased with the show of support.  Thank you.  You guys have been there when I needed you.  I haven't heard anything from the Gamerankings editor yet, but I'm planning to contact him in a few days to see if he's reconsidering.

In the meantime, if anybody else could help plead my case by emailing him, please do.

I'm not too concerned about the Critic being pulled out. I don't go on those sites anyway. Their method of ranking is totally screwed up. ex: Xplay gives a game 3 out of 5, which equals a 6.0. But that's too big a general score to simplify into such an exact one.

Critic, just borrow someone's Wii and you could probably knock out a few reviews in one weekend.

Dave doesn't need to borrow somebody else's system to play around with his Wii (sorry, couldn't help myself).

Anyone got a few email addresses to email?  I've tried browsing their website but haven't found a link for "email editors".  I admit, I'm a bit slow on certain days.  (and for emailing)  Thanks!
