More bad news for PS3

I understand the concept of lowering the price of a game to increase sales and I most certainly understand the concept of the greatest hit line.

Also I would LOVE to see where you can buy GRAW II for half price.  Its obviously on sale for a shorten period.  There is a difference between a game being on sale and a permanant price cut.  Big sellers like Amazon can do this because they sell so many copies of the game and the get a discount from the publisher...allowing them to temporarly sell the game for a cheaper price.

For all intensive purposes GRAW II is still a $60 game.

Also I don't know how it was in the UK, but in the States it took a long time for games like Kameo and GRAW to come down in price.  I'm talking like close to 12 months.  That is a really long time for a significant price cut.

When games don't become greatest hits the price is usually slashed and then it is taken off the shelf for good.  In the case of Viva Pinata everybody that wanted the game bought it...now they are trying to entice more people to take a shot at it...in a few months if sales are still flatlining the game will be pulled from shelves.

I understand how this stuff works...

GRAW 2 RRP is £50.  Play.com is selling it for £25.  It is listed as a sale price.  The thing is though is that the majority of stuff they put on sale stays on sale permanently.  Plus the sale goes on for months anyway.  Play-asia also have the game for £28 but that's slightly different.

Kameo and GRAW fell quite quickly in the UK, perhaps 6 months.
