I'm stupid

Must be bored to think that way. Gamecube disks held too little information and multiple disks were often needed.
Often?  How many games needed multiple discs?
Often is here taken to mean something like 5 games out of 600+.  It is much the same way that Hailey's Comet comes through here very often.

I remember when I first played Eternal Darkness, I just couldn't get over how they could put this seemingly huge game onto such a tiny disc.  I mean it had some really long cut-scenes, and what at the time at least seemed like a set of huge environments.  The answer of course was that the developers used A LOT of compression for those cut-scenes.

I admit that I dug those discs.  It was a silly thing to like about a system, but there are a lot of silly things I liked about the Gamecube, like it's small and compact size, like some kind of space age toy.  Of course, there were plenty of things I liked about it that weren't so silly too, like its compact size.

I remember when Twilight Princess was rumoured to be on 2 or 3 discs......

HAH!   I guess they left all of the voice acting, the ambitious CG cutscenes and the orchestrated music on the cutting room floor.

Seriously, I think we can say that the 'limited' storage space on GC discs was overated.
