So is this site really Wii 'biased'? Which console is the most popular on the VGC board? If you had to choose only ONE, which would it be, Wii, 360 or PS3? The polls will  close one week from now to accomadate everyone.

In the spirit of true democracy, feel free to influence, insult, and intimidate your fellow voters, make it fun and sell your system of choice. High minded people who wish to extoll the virtues of multiple console ownership, or express patronage to older consoles will be ignored for the purpose of this topic. Also, no hanging chads.

If someone can think of any stakes for this topic, it is open for suggestion.

Easy for me, I wouldn't even play videogames if Nintendo quit making them:

Wii all the way.

I guess i have to spoil my ballot.  I can't choose between the Wii and 360.  Right now I have only the Wii because it was cheaper and my fiancee wanted this one, so not just was there no fight and no financial strain, but she split the tab with me (in that we bought it out of what would normally be, like, furniture money).  Still, Live arcade with its leader boards, arcade classics, simple new arcade style games, plus achievement points basically makes me think I'd want to be without a 360 in about a year about as much as I'd want to be without a Wii (i.e. not at all).  I want both exactly equally, so basicaly, I'm not voting.

Wii. It's the only innovative console of the three.

Xbox 360 easily wins for me, the Wii didn't have anything I even wanted until Super Paper Mario was released (I already got Zelda on the GC and I prefer the OoT style controls anyways). And as far as I know, the only other game its getting this year I'd want for it would be Metroid Prime, and Virtual Console stuff.

Okay, I'll play along. In the spirit of the Original Post (voter intimidation), I'm going to be a bit more rude and hyperbolic than usual (-:

Feel free to respond in kind, of course (-:

I'm voting for Wii.

Why Wii? Because the PS3 is for graphics whores, the Xbox 360 is for people who like cluttered graphical interfaces and a selection of downloadable movies that's about as good as the video selection at the corner drug store.

Incidentally, if anyone things Twilight Princess is better with OoT controls needs to check and see they had a frontal lobotomy without realizing it. Playing Wii Twilight Princess spoils 3D Zelda games completely and utterly. It feels so bizarre playing Ocarina now (this might be voter intimidation, but that is true... it took quite a bit to get used to playing this game without motion controls on the Virtual Console).

For me it's the 360 with the Wii being a very close second.  I won't discount the PS3 just yet though, because even with Sony's recent blunders the system still has loads of potential.

Lessee... Microsoft pissed me off because they released the 360 early to win the next-gen console war, which meant killing the current xBox just as the games were starting to get real good.  For that reason, I can't vote for the 360.

Sony demonstrated that it is absolutely full of itself, thinks nothing of its customers, and believes that they can cram an unwanted new video format down our throats by tying it to their newest console.  They further believe that we'll all happily pay a huge premium for the privilege.  The only thing I like better than mortgaging my game system is knowing that I now have to replace my video collection that I only just completed!  So screw Sony.

Then we come to Nintendo, who pushed around software publishers in the '80s until they got the rear handed to them by Sega.  After seeing Sega falter only to have Sony destroy their hopes at regaining the gaming throne, Nintendo modestly presented us with the GameCube and asked our forgiveness.  But gamers scoffed at the little box, complaining of what it couldn't while ignoring what it did so well.  Feeling the winds of change, Nintendo basically repackaged it and designed controllers that would revolutionize the way we play our games, and in so doing has at last earned the respect they deserve.  Kudos, Nintendo, your strangely-named Wii has my vote.

Right now Xbox 360 by a mile.

Fight Night Round 3, Oblivion, Gears of War, CrackDown, Dead Rising, Burnout, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Saints Row, I play it far more than any other console.

The wii I guess is innovative, but where are the games?   Its collection of games seems to be seriously lacking. It has a lot of party games, and the GC Zelda port. Super Paper Mario looks cool though.

Its also sad that I just bought God of War 2 and it has much better graphics than any Wii game.   Maybe with time it will rock, but the Wii is off to a slow start.   The Xbox 360 got a 1 year head start on the competition, and it made the best of it, as its game library is currently unbeatable.   Not to mention, it looks amazing on my 61 inch HDTV
