Help with chrono cross? (not gameplay)

Postby Anayo1 » June 19th, 2005, 9:03 pm

I recently bought Chrono Cross for the Playstation at my local Blockbuster. It's a pretty cool game, but unfortunately, for some reason, I can't get it to save my progress. I've confirmed the functionality of the memory card itself (saved some data on to it from tony hawk pro skater), I emptied out like half of the files on it, but whenever I access the menu on Chrono Cross and go to "save/load game", the save icon is darkened and irresponsive. I'm not sure what to do. Is there some special in game sequence I'm supposed to do to save my game, or is there just something wrong with my playstation?

Hi,

According to a faq at www.gamefaqs.com:

"You can save your game or switch characters at any time while on the
world map. However, when you are in an area map, you must find a Record
of Fate, a triangular green object."

Are you sure you're on the world map when saving? If not you need the Record of Fate. Your PSX probably isn't broken.

Ah. RPG's aren't much fun if you can't save them, lol. Thanks a lot. ^_^
