Far Cry Instincts Predator

I never really saw the big fuss about Far Cry on the consoles.  I bet it was a technical marvel on PCs, but I couldn't get into the xbox version. 

The whole jungle thing was really appealing to me, but sadly I couldn't stomach the game (literally made me nauseous).  Most FPS on the PS2, XBOX, Gamecube give me motion sickness with the exception of a few (Doom 3 and Halo 2).  Strangley enough this problem (one that I've had since childhood) hasn't hindered me from playing next gen FPS.  Games like Resistance Fall of Man and Oblivion have yet to give me motion sickness *knocks on wood*.  I wonder if it has to do with the graphics resolution or perhaps smooter framerates and smoother scaling.  I have no idea.

Anywho back to my point...Far Cry was a bland game in a awesome setting.  I know some people dig it, and thats cool, but it wasn't for this casual FPS fan.

I happen to like the Far Cry series, and FC:I is one of my favorite games.  The opening level is one of the best I've ever played, period.  Plus, nothing beats using Feral Speed, nailing a Feral Jump, and clawing a poor sucker in the back in midair.

I'm almost all the way through Evolution now, and I have to say that after the first half of the game it really picks up.  The level designs get MUCH better, and the enemy variety is back (NO MORE GENERIC ASIAN GUYS!).  Less cheesy cutscenes too.

Far Cry Instincts Predator was the worst 360 FPS at launch.  It is hopelessly outdone on a system which has the best FPS available.  Not a bad game just doesn't do anything particularly stunningly.  Unlike the Wii version which does a stunning job of looking and playing like cack.

Yes, you can only unlock Predator by completing Instincts.

Umm... it didn't come out at launch.  It hit in March of 2006.
