The Video Game Critic

I got a good deal yesterday, I tested a PSone and SNES for our local "game place" and in return the owner let me pick out two games I wanted. I got Bust a move '99 (which in my opinion is a LOST TREASURE, it has all the Bust a move features along with mini-games, over a dozen new characters to select and more) and TINY TOONS: THE GREAT BEANSTALK.

My question is, the second game won't work on my PS2. It loads the title screens then just skips. There ARE scratches on the disc, but BAM 99 is scratched bad too and it works fine. Is this a PSX game that won't work on PS2, or is my game just Buster...
er, busted?

There is no such thing as 100% backwards compatible. Its's an odd title so it could be one of the few exceptions. In fact some PS2 games don't work on the ps2 slim and vice-versa.

HAH! IT DOES WORK!

After trying it on my PSone with no luck and lightly rubbing it with a damp cloth and no luck, I said what the heck and soaked the back with WINDEX. (It was not a $200 game I was dying for anyway.)- IT CLEANED IT! It did no damage at all and it works now on my PS2 just fine. Do others use window cleaner on badly scratched discs?

As to the game, TINY TOONS THE GREAT BEANSTALK as you might guess is a kids game. Combination 2-D platformer and point and click adventure. At the start Babs bunny says 'FIND---" and Buster and the green duck (Dippy?Dizzy?) must plod through a few easy one screen jump n' runs, then an animated point n click screen pops up. It is funny even for adults, due to the jokes (a broom pops out of the sewer and sweeps the street, Buster whizes into a sherrif and says "AY-UH, tha stranger done cleaned up THIS town pardner!") ... I give a bill to know where the @#$% the flypaper is though....

I had never heard of this game, it was a TGI release, Anyone else?
