Poor controller layout motorstorm

Finally played motorstorm at ebgames today. The game is quite good however I found the control scheme to be lousy. I understand that R2 was gas as its force sensitive however the button feels so flimsy I thought I was going to break it. Anyway, the problem lies with turbo being X. In past ps2, psx games the accelerator was always mapped to X. On occasions I found myself pressing X to accelerate, not R2 thus blowing my engine on two occasions. Other people blew their engine every 10 meters because they were too clueless to realize the turbo meter is flashing red. Turbo should have been mapped to a less commonly used button.

I wish every game gave you an option to map your own button layout if you so desired. Would be nice.

JUST the R2 button?  I think the entire flippin' PS3 controller feels flimsy.  I'm worried it'll break in half just by being picked up.  But yeah, Motor Storm is a GREAT game.  Hard, but great!

Motorstorm really let me down--it just isn't fun.  Looks great, but there are too many hoops to jump through.
