Yeah, I never cared much for the single player part of Wii Sports either. In multiplayer, it's ace, though.

[QUOTE=funky_muzic]Hey Critic,
Congratulations on finding a Wii. I was fortunate to get one the day it came out, but Fry's made me buy the bundle with 5 other games (of which only one I really wanted). Plus, I had to buy Zelda because it was not part of the bundle.
So, I've had the Wii for about 6 months, and you know what game I play the most...Wii Sports! That's right, the pack-in game. This game is so much fun, especially multi-player. I could play bowling and tennis anytime! I know you're checking it out with all of your friends and family, but don't over look the "Training" games. These games have great replay value since you'll always try beat your top score or get a better medal. here's one to shoot for. Play the first Tennis training game (returning balls). My personal record on that is 92! No joke. I have yet to hear of anyone getting a better score than that. Let me know if you do.

Who the hell is this guy? I cry name infringment.
To be honest Wii Sports has lost its luster. I still think it's the best way to get people aclemated to the controls and great for get togethers.
I have 2 complaints with the Wii so far: One would be the lack of sword games that don't suck and two: they should use every oppurtunity to include the Miis in as many games as possible. I like how it felt like you and your family/ friends Miis were becoming part of the Wii... but Wii Sports and Wii Play are the only games that feature your Miis and that sucks.

I second this gripe... to an extent. I think that the graphical quality of the Miis could look odd if they are forced into certain games or situations, so I suppose I am saying it would be nice to have more games that are made to use the Miis, not more games that are made, and then forced to use them. I think that would get annoying really fast. I guess it would be nice if a game that normally wouldn't look good coupled with the Miis, had some incorporated mini games that was more suited to them. Now this gripe is getting too specific and demanding, so I might have to retract it altogether.

Also, I just mean it would be cool if the Mii profiles could be used on each game. Not that the actual Miis would be floating in Manhunt 2 killing a man with piano wire, but it would be cool to save under the "Vinbaby" Mii too keep up with all the accomplishments and crap.

What?! Thats exactly where I'd want to have an option to turn them on. It'd be like "Hey honey, come out here and see this. You just totally shot some dude in the kneecap... I think it's Jon. Boy he does not look happy."

Golf should have WAY more than 9 holes, they could have easily ported the courses form Toadstool Tour over. It would be a win/win, easy work on their part, an oportunity for people to have more courses to play on the best game of the bunch.
Baseball would be cool with more stadiums, or maybe an option to turn on more in depth features for people who wanted them. It would be sweet for the Miis to play their pickup games in Fenway, or other major league stadiums.
Tanks is great, but why not set up a true death match multiplayer option for up to 4 players?
I liked the games, I loved the concepts, I just wish they would have went an extra mile on features.

I agree. I can understand Nintendo wanting to "keep it simple", but an options menu would have been nice in Wii Sports, if only to turn off those annoying instant replays. Also, I was fairly shocked to see Wii Play was two player only.

I agree with what you are saying, but I understand why the game was kept so simple. Personally the only thing I wanted to see in Wii Sports was stats. I would have loved to been able to keep track of Homeruns and Strikeouts in baseball...it would have been nice to see you'r record in Boxing too.
Other than those few things (which I feel would add to the competitive nature of the title) it needed to stay as simple as it is. The game was supposed to appeal to everyone and their grandmother (literally)...most casual gamers love it and they don't care about how deep the game is. Nintendo made the game to rope in people of all shapes and sizes and by making it as simple as possible they succeeded.

What do you mean? It's not two-player only... All of the mini-games can be played by a single player as well...
