I have to buy a present for my godson and I figured that a nice new DS game would be great...he just turned 7.
For christmas I bought him Mario vs DK and I was wondering what else I should get him.
I'm thinking a nice simple game would be good...maybe New Super Mario Bros or something. I dunno...suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah, that's probably the best choice on the market right now.
Cooking Mama might also be an idea, the 10 year old son of my parent's friends fell completely for it last time they visited. Might depend on how good a reader he is, but given that said 10 year old barely knows a word English and had no trouble playing the game on his own after I helped him through the first few recipies, it should be fine.

My recommendations:
* New Super Mario Bros.
* Zookeeper
*Super Princess Peach
* Tetris DS
* Wario: Touched
*Yoshi Touch N Go
There are probably many more kid-freindy GBA games, though.

Given that he's seven, you really can't go wrong with New Super Mario Bros.
My godson is six and loves that one. So far, the games I've bought for him are New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 64 DS (he loved the original, and he loves this one even more, primarily because he can play Wario, Yoshi, and Luigi), Yoshi's Island DS, Metroid Prime Pinball, Sonic Rush, and Yoshi's Touch N' Go. He especially loves the first two, and MPP, but he has had a lot of fun with all of them.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Pokemon yet seeing as that just hit the streets and is always all the rage with the kids.

I'd choose Mario64 DS, especially if he hasn't had a DS. Mario 64 is my favorite game ever, and the DS got an awesome port of it. They added a few new levels, three new characters to play as, better graphics, and a ton of new touch screen minigames. I can't imagine any kid not liking it. The game is huge and you can play it forever.

Ok I've been up since 11 PM last night, so Im getting tired and making mistakes with my posts. That should say. "I'd choose Mario64 DS, especially if he hasn't had a N64. " It seems incoherent the way it is. Sorry.

Thanks for all the input...
I have to talk to his mother...he either has Mario 64 DS or New Super Mario Bros and I don't want to get him something he already has. I might actually be leaning towards the new Pokemon game, because he really likes that series. I actually forgot that it just launched.
Thanks again for all the help.
