Opening the box.
At first my wife thought it looked like a computer hard drive which I thought was a little funny. I think it looks really cool myself. The ipod exterior makes it look classy. I love all the extra stuff they give you. Stand, and Nunchuck. Nice.
After playing Wii sports I have to say its alot of fun. Graphics are kind of simplistic but They are nice and clean. I'm very happy that I have the Wii and look forward to buying the Wiimote and game combo so me and my wife can play against each other. I'm also pleased with mii and the weather. Cool. Now I have 2 next gen systems to support. WEll after my 360 comes back from repair that is. Wii60!!!

If not I would recommend the following for you...at least rents these
Excite Truck
Tiger Woods 07
Madden 07
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Red Steel (if you feel like taken the big risk)
Make sure you buy these
The Godfather
The Legend of Zelda:TP
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Super Paper Mario
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Be sure to download some classics from the Virtual Console too. I find myself playing those games just as much as the new ones. Good luck and congrats on the system. I hope everything goes nice and smoothly with the 360.

I suggest Excite Truck for sure. It's a fun racer and the controls are great once you get used to what you have to do.

I've been playing the game on medium difficulty. Maybe if I switched it to easy, it would become more fun and less nerve-wracking.

Now I hate you; you're living the dream. I have to convnce my fiancee that we need another system at the exact same time my student loans are coming due. It'll be a hard sell.

Is Excitetruck a good 2 player game. I think the 3 games I want to get next month are Heatseakers, Zelda and Excitetruck. Believe it or not I'm addicted to Wii Baseball. I can't stop playing it. Oh yeah and JLH your right about VC. I haven't bought any yet but I will definitely buy a few Genesis and Snes games when I get money again. With all these old school games available I really feel like this system was made for collectors like most of us. Thanks for being cool mozart. I know we have had are differences. I'm beginning to see what gives wii it's charm. Oh yeah and Atarifever half the money I made selling meseta on ebay from PSU and the rest was me selling half my 360 games that I don't play. I would never been able to buy a wii though if my wife didn't use credit to pay for the 360 getting fixed. God I love her. Anyway thanks for the positive feedback guys.

I have to disagree with your buy/sell lists JLH. Excite Truck is easily the 3rd best Wii game, after Zelda and Super Paper Mario. In answer to your question Superjay, yes it is good on 2 player, but only if you have someone at your skill level to play with. Also, make sure to get an SD card so you can listen to your own music while you play the game.

[/QUOTE]I have yet to play Excite Truck, but yes you could easily thrust that one into the "Buy" list. If you love racing games I would suggest buying it. The main reason I put it in the rent section was because the game has been out for a while...its not selling like crazy and its due for a price drop soon. Also it pretty much a requirement to have the SD card full of music for enjoying the game...which adds around $15-$20 to the price.
I can't stress enough how good The Godfather is. I would personally put that as one of the top 4 Wii games right now. Easily flying under several folk's radar. Its a great single player game that will keep you busy for a long time...Best of all is that it has some of the best motion controls available on the system. Kudos to EA.

The one interesting thing I should point out is, at least for me, the Wii remote doesn't add anything nor detract anything from the game. Even if you were to play with an old fashioned controller, the game wouldn't be any less great. It truely stands on it's own as a great racer; and doesn't need to rely on the innovation of how it controls to put it over.
I'm still a bit bummed that I'm seemingly in the only "Marble Mania" fan here. It'd be a crying shame if I'm the sole owner of this game, relating to this message board.
